Welcome to What Goes With What? I’m so happy to continue color matching designer fabrics. Robert Kaufman has graciously provided all 303 Kona Cotton colors for my happy little color matching needs. Sweet! Right?!

First up is Doe from Carolyn Friedlander for Robert Kaufman. The natural earthy palette is clean and simple with a hand drawn character to the lines.

Kona Cotton Sage, Prussian, Titanium, Tangerine, Latte, Fog, Yarrow, Shadow, Meringue, Cream and Snow.

  2. Absolutely gorgeous. So many ideas. First thought was boys shorts, so funky. Second thought were bean stuffed comfy ottomans for every room. And finally Some top knot head bands for myself. Just oo much you can do with though patterns.

  4. this fabric is my all time favorite, so first I’d just have to ooh and ahh over it, but then I would cut it up and make a very special modern quilt. perhaps I’d use the pattern Limestone Landscape, which I think would make a wonderful canvas for this line…. I just love this stuff!!!!!

  6. What would I make? After stitching and quilting for more than 40 years, it’s time for me to take a sharp turn towards modern quilting. That’s how I found you today. There are numerous ideas swimming in my head at the moment. Definitely a quilt that is sharp, edgy, and full of both angles and circular motion.

  7. I think Doe must have been designed with making clothing in mind. Would love to make a skirt and a tunic like top with it. It would also make a very nice manly quilt!

  8. I will make a nine-patch quilt in Doe, king size! and hang it in a blank space wall I have prepared in dinning area. My teacher has taught me machine piecing technique so i’d be a great time to start practicing it…..
