Doe by Carolyn Friedlander with Solid Coordinate.
Welcome to What Goes With What? I’m so happy to continue color matching designer fabrics. Robert Kaufman has graciously provided all 303 Kona Cotton colors for my happy little color matching needs. Sweet! Right?!
First up is Doe from Carolyn Friedlander for Robert Kaufman. The natural earthy palette is clean and simple with a hand drawn character to the lines.

Kona Cotton coordinates for Doe by Carolyn Friedlander.
From left to right, here are the Robert Kaufman Kona Cotton colors I chose for Doe.
Kona Cotton Sage, Prussian, Titanium, Tangerine, Latte, Fog, Yarrow, Shadow, Meringue, Cream and Snow.
Carolyn chose a beautiful selection of solid coordinates specifically for Doe The colors are designed to complement the palette. Check here for a list of all the colors in the Roll Up.

Here’s the fun part!!! I have a Fat Quarter Set and a Roll Up to giveaway!!! Leave a comment on the blog about what you would like to make with Doe. I will select 2 winners on Sunday January 25th. One person will receive a full collection FQ Set of Doe and the other Carolyn’s Roll Up coordinates.
Enjoy and happy sewing!

This is fun to see – the 2 options of solid coordinates. I think Doe would be equally fun either used here and there in small projects but also in a big ole low-volume quilt.

Thank you for this post. I have been drooling over the prints in this beautiful DOE line but felt at a loss as to what basic solids I could use to “stretch” it into a more substantial size quilt. Now, as my husband says, I’m armed and dangerous, 🙂

Oh My! I was so excited to see Kathy’s post about your What Goes With What blog. I love the fabrics and have been mulling over doing a triangle quilt but knew I didn’t want any flower fabrics, and I wanted solids between each print.
I’m looking forward to more posts.

As much as I really want to make a Nest Egg tote, I agree with several other posters that this is a great line for gifts for guys. I’ve been wanting to make quilts for both my dad and brother (I’ve already made one for Mom) and this might be the perfect fabric for one!

Thanks for sharing your solid coordinates, it’s tricky to do it without a colour card or access to fabric other than online. I’d love to make my husband his very own quilt, I’ve used Carolyn’s shirts pattern before so would love to make him a quilt of shirts with this.

I love the Doe line and Carolyn Friedlander’s designs! It’s so great to see it all laid out with the coordinates because I don’t have an awesome sewing shop in my town. I’d make a picnic blanket in a baby-friendly design that I could use to take my friend’s new baby on picnics. Hopefully I’ll be done with the quilt by the time it gets warm again! It’d make a fabulous first birthday gift, so fingers crossed!

I love doe! I would make a quilt for my own bed. I keep buying doe for commissioned quilts. It means others get to enjoy it too however, I would love to have enough doe to make my own. It would be made from square blocks that gradiated from dark to light, bottom up, matchstick quilting. Gorgeous!
